Introduction
Biotechnology as a subject has grown rapidly. And as far as employment is concerned, it has become one of the fast growing sector. Employment record shows that biotechnology has a great scope in future. Bio-technologists can find careers with pharmaceutical companies, chemical, agriculture and allied industries. They can be employed in the areas of planning, production and management of bio-processing industries. There is a large scale employment in research laboratories run by the government as well as the corporate sector. Biotechnology students in India may find work in a government-based entity such as universities, research scientists/assistants. Alternatively they may find employment in specialized biotechnology companies or biotech-related companies.


Course Highlight
The Bahelor of Science Program in Biotechnology aims at producting graduates who are well equipped with skills and basic knowledge in biotechnology, capable of integrating the gained knowledge and applying it fruitfully for the benefit of the society and the country, with professional ethics in their mind and responsibilities in their related career practices or in doing research and development work.
This course will produce competent personnel at undergraduate level to work and/or to do research and development work in biotechnological field such as industrial microbiology, industrial enzyme production and utilization, food industry, gene technology, plant and animal cell technology, etc., either in industrial factories, or in public and private research institute.
